Barcelona could make a shock move for their Stamford Bridge conqueror Didier Drogba this summer.
The Chelsea striker is out of contract at the end of the season and the Catalan club want to lure him to Camp Nou on a free transfer, according to The Sun.
Drogba is set to decide his future after the Bluess’ Champions League final clash with Bayern Munich this coming Saturday and the report claims he will be offered a two-year deal worth £5million a season by Barca.
It also suggests Chelsea have come up with a similar contract as owner Roman Abramovich wants to keep hold of the Ivory Coast international following his heroics against Barcelona and in the FA Cup final.
It was reported that Drogba was close to a move to China on a more lucrative deal, but joining up with Barcelona under new boss Tito Vilanova could prove too good an opportunity to turn down.
Pep Guardiola announced he was stepping down at the end of the season after being knocked out of the Champions League by Chelsea and effectively losing the title to Real Madrid in the space of a week.
