Real Madrid ready to move for Chelsea midfielder

Chelsea will reportedly have to fend off interest from Real Madrid this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to raid his former club for Brazilian midfielder Ramires.

The 25-year-old enjoyed a fine season for the Blues, in which he scored 12 goals, including a strike in the Nou Camp that proved pivotal as Chelsea claimed a spot in the final of the Champions League.

Ramires, however, is suspended for Saturday's clash with Bayern Munich in the Allianz Arena and could, perhaps, have already played his last game for Chelsea.

According to talkSPORT, Ramires has been watched extensively by Real scouts this season, and Mourinho has identified him as an ideal midfield partner for Xabi Alonso.

Ramires moved to Stamford Bridge from Benfica for £19.8 million in the summer of 2010, and has improved dramatically during his second season with Chelsea.

The Brazil international is fast establishing himself as one of the Blues' most important player, but may be tempted to leave west London if Real Madrid come calling.
