Much-maligned Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is a summer target for German champions Borussia Dortmund, it has been claimed.
Bendtner spent last season on loan at the Stadium of Light with Sunderland, and scored eight goals in 30 appearances for Martin O'Neill's Black Cats.
It is seemingly unlikely the Denmark international will return to Arsenal for the long-term, particularly after the acquisition of Lukas Podolski from Cologne last month.
Dortmund is reportedly a potential destination for Bendtner, as Jurgen Klopp makes early plans to reinforce his double-winning outfit during the summer transfer window.
According to the Daily Mail, Dortmund are ready to formalise the interest they had shown in the 24-year-old last year, and a formal approach could yet be in the offing.
Bendtner has scored 43 goals in four full seasons as an Arsenal player, although is often criticised for his profligacy and apparent arrogance, and his career with the club is likely to end during the summer.
