Luka Modric is reportedly prepared to leave Tottenham in pursuit of Champions League football, which could point towards a summer move to either Chelsea or Manchester United.
Spurs will be without Champions League competition for a second successive season next term after Chelsea's dramatic win over Bayern Munich relegated them to a place in the Europa League.
According to The Mirror, this will lead Modric to consider his options this summer, while both Chelsea and Manchester United have an interest in acquiring his services.
Real Madrid and Manchester City are also reported to be keen on the 26-year-old, but Chelsea and United both retain a more serious interest from last summer.
Chelsea failed with several attempts to bring Modric to Stamford Bridge last year, while the Croatian midfielder even submitted a transfer request in an attempt to force a move.
United, meanwhile, are likely to view Modric as a potential long-term successor to Paul Scholes, with the veteran set to retire for good at the end of next season.
