Juventus have been linked with a host of leading players after securing their first Serie A title since 2003 this season, with Van Persie said to be at the top of their list ahead of the summer transfer window.
Van Persie’s contract negotiations with the Gunners are said to have stalled, opening the door for a move away from the Emirates Stadium, however the Turin-based outfit are said to be ready to turn their attentions elsewhere amidst fears the Dutchman is pricing himself out of a move.
Juve officials are said to have previously held talks with Van Persie’s representatives while the club’s sporting director Giuseppe Marotta described the 28-year-old as a ‘complete player’.
While that is good news for Arsenal it could spell trouble for Liverpool, who may now have to fend of the Serie A giant’s advances for Suarez.
Suarez has previously declared his desire to stay at Anfield next season despite a turbulent campaign, but the departure of manager Kenny Dalglish may have an influence on his thinking should Juventus come calling.
Liverpool are unlikely to entertain the though of losing their leading striker this summer as they go in search of a top four finish next season.
Although Arsenal will rest easy now that Juventus are seemingly out of the picture for Van Persie, Manchester City are still in the hunt for him, with The Mirror reporting that the Citizens are ready to table a £15million offer for the prolific forward, whose contract expires next summer.
Interestingly, The Mirror also reports that Juventus are keen on Manchester City’s Edin Dzeko, who could be sold by the reigning Premier League champions in order to free up funds for Van Persie.
It is also reported that Barcelona and Real Madrid are maintaining a vague interest in developments at the Emirates, but it is Manchester City who lead the way should Van Persie decide his future lies away from Arsenal.
