Didier Drogba has confirmed he will leave Chelsea at the end of his contract in June after eight hugely successful years at the Stamford Bridge club.

Drogba leaves on a high after the club's triumph in the UEFA Champions League, having scored the winning penalty in a dramatic shootout in Munich.

Jose Mourinho has signed a new four-year contract at Real Madrid that will see him remain in charge at the Santiago Bernebeau until at least 2016.

Elsewhere, Harry Redknapp has become the latest manager to be linked with Liverpool as the club continue their search for a successor to Kenny Dalglish.

In today's transfer news, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has flown to Amsterdam to try and finalise a deal for Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen. (Sky Sports)
