After one of the most frantic and dramatic seasons across Europe there are just a couple of weeks to relax before Euro 2012 gets underway and football once more takes up most of your free time.
England had the drama of Manchester City’s two late goals to seal their first title in 44 years while La Liga was forced to bow to Real Madrid as the new kings of Spanish football after three years of Barcelona dominance.
In Ligue 1 Montpellier became champions for the first time in their history, holding off Paris Saint-Germain and their wealthy Qatar owners, as well as former champions Lille.
Borussia Dortmund staved off Bayern Munich’s charge to claim a domestic double in Germany while in Italy, Juventus finished the league season unbeaten to claim their first Scudetto since 2003.
