Anzhi star Odil Ahmedov is still hopeful of completing a move to Arsenal this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The Uzbekistan international has been scouted by the Gunners for much of the past year, and was close to sealing a move to the Emirates Stadium 12 months ago.
But, the 24-year-old remains hopeful that Arsene Wenger will revive his interest this summer, and says he still dreams of a move to the Premier League.
"I'm really happy to be playing at Anzhi, but I want to try England or Spain," said Ahmedov. "All the clubs in Spain and England are wonderful, but I would like, if I had the choice, to play for Arsenal."
The Gunners have been strongly linked with French international Yann M'Vila, but Ahmedov could be drafted in should a move for the Rennes midfielder fall through.
The versatile Uzbeki international can feature at centre-half, as well as centre midfield, and is capable of the spectacular, scoring a 30-yard screamer in the opening game of last year's Asian Cup.
Ahmedov plays alongside Samuel Eto'o and former Chelsea midfielder Yury Zhirkov at Russian side Anzhi, but out-shone both players this year, picking up the club's Player of the Year award.
