Brendan Rodgers is set to be named as the new Liverpool manager after agreeing a three-year-contract with the Anfield club today.

Frank Lampard could become the latest England player to be ruled out of Euro 2012 after the Chelsea midfielder suffered a suspected thigh injury.

Lampard will have a scan tomorrow after he pulled up in training earlier, with Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson on standby as a precaution.

Manchester United have confirmed Paul Scholes has signed a one-year contract extension for what will be his final season at Old Trafford.


In today's transfer news, a deal for Porto striker Hulk is reportedly "90%" done as Chelsea look to further add to their squad. (Daily Telegraph)
