Chelsea are closing in on a deal for Porto striker Hulk, according to Sky Sports.
The Blues landed the first serious blow of the summer transfer window by capturing Eden Hazard from Lille earlier this week, and now they look set to keep up the pace by agreeing to sign Hulk from Porto for a fee believed to be around £38 million.
Chelsea appear to be signaling their intent of becoming a dominant force in Europe after securing the Champions League trophy in the final against Bayern Munich earlier this month.
Sky Sports report that Chelsea have agreed the price tag that is well under the £85 million fee that was reportedly written into the Brazilian striker’s contract at Porto.
Both the player and his agent have spoken publicly recently about their willingness to listen to offers from abroad, with long-term suitors at the head of the queue.
Chelsea ignited their interest in Hulk while Andre Vilas-Boas was at the helm earlier this season, but now look finally set to conclude the deal in the near future, according to Sky Sources.
Along with Hazard and now seemingly Hulk, Werder Bremen playmaker Marko Marin agreed to join Chelsea earlier in the season.
