Paul Lambert is set to become the next Aston Villa manager, with the Birmingham club expected to make a formal approach today.

Reports emerged late last night that Lambert has quit the club after he was refused permission to speak to Villa about succeeding Alex McLeish.

Harry Redknapp is set for talks over his future with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy today - with the club ready to offer him a new contract.
