Arsenal are in talks to sign Argentine midfielder Lucas Biglia, according to The Sun.
The 26-year-old Anderlecht star - who captained the Belgian outfit to a second successive top-flight title this season - is also a reported target for La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Rated at around £8million, Biglia is keen to test himself with a top European club, but it is unclear whether he would favour a move to Spain or north London.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a huge admirer of the South American, who moved to Belgium from Independiente in 2006, and sees him as a value-for-money acquisition to improve his options at the Emirates Stadium ahead of the 2012-13 campaign.
"Real Madrid and Arsenal have both been in contact and I'll wait to see what happens," said Biglia. "I am still under contract with Anderlecht until 2015, but they know that I plan to leave.
"If a club offers the right price, Anderlecht will let me go."
In addition to interest from Real and Arsenal, Biglia has also attracted attention of clubs in Italy with Napoli and Fiorentina both monitoring the player's situation, and could lodge rival bids.
