Chelsea are reportedly ready to make a sensational swoop for Arsenal pair Bacary Sagna and Theo Walcott.
Metro are claiming that Blues owner Roman Abramovich is ready to add to his summer spending with bids for the two Gunners stars.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is unlikely to be willing to accept any bid from the Stamford Bridge club, but the Russian seems determined to rejuvenate the ageing squad that could only finish sixth in the Premier League last year.
The Gunners could be forced into a deal with Walcott, as the England winger’s contract only has a year left to run and the two parties have yet to begin talks.
Robin van Persie is in a similar situation, but the report claims that Walcott is baffled as to why talks have been postponed until after Euro 2012.
Sagna is recovering from a second leg break in a year, but was impressive when fit last season for the north London side and Chelsea are searching a replacement for the released Jose Bosingwa at right-back.
