Injured Clemence returns home early

England coach Roy Hodgson has confirmed his side's injury "hoodoo" has struck again - this time to goalkeeping coach Ray Clemence.

The former keeper, a long-standing member of the Three Lions backroom team, had to be carried off after snapping his Achilles tendon in the pre-match warm-up.

With the aid of crutches, the 63-year-old was able to watch Monday night's 1-1 draw with France at the Donbass Arena, but Clemence was clearly in considerable pain and Hodgson confirmed he will fly back to England for surgery.
