Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic will not be leaving Old Trafford this summer, according to the player's agent.
The 30-year-old United captain missed the second half of the season with a serious knee injury picked up in a Champions League tie against Basel in December.
Reports have linked the Serbia international with a move to Serie 'A' or La Liga, with Real Madrid, Napoli and Juventus all believed to be interested in signing the former-Red Star Belgrade defender.
But the player's agent, Silvano Martina, insists Vidic is committed to the Red Devils and eager to back to first-team action after a long lay-off.
Speaking to TMW and quoted on FourFourTwo.com, Martina said: "At this moment there is no negotiation to transfer Vidic. The boy is recovering from a bad injury and thinks about getting back in perfect shape. He will remain at Manchester United."
Vidic left the field on a stretcher against Basel after twisting his knee badly at Old Trafford. United remain hopeful that Vidic will be fit to return to pre-season training and take part in preparations as they bid to win the title back off Manchester City.
A solid defensive partnership will be key to any title challenge, and Sir Alex Ferguson is thought to be keen to reunite Rio Ferdinand and Vidic at the heart of the United defence.
