Chelsea will have to move fast if they want to sign Hulk after it emerged that PSG are prepared to pay £43million to land the Brazilian striker.

Chelsea had been linked with a £30million move for the Porto frontman, as they look to replace the now-departed Didier Drogba. But the Champions League winners have struggled to agree a fee with Hulk's Portuguese club, as Chelsea are thought to value the striker closer to £30million.

According to the Daily Mail, PSG are prepared to outbid Chelsea by offering Porto up to £43million for the Brazil international. Reports suggest Hulk is eager to move to west London, but Chelsea are baulking at his club's valuation, especially after a string of impressive performances for Brazil bumped up his price.

As a result, the Blues are thought to be exploring other options, including Fiorentina's Serbian ace Stevan Jovetic, just in case a deal cannot be reached. And reports in Portugal suggest PSG have already made preliminary contact with Hulk's agent, Teodoro Fonseca.

The Parisian club are on the lookout for a world-class striker as they look to bolster their squad for the Champions League next season. Already this summer they have failed in attempts to sign Carlos Tevez, Gonzalo Higuain, Alexandre Pato and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
