Barcelona president Sandro Rosell believes every player in his team's starting 11 is better than Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese international, along with Lionel Messi, is usually described as one of the two best footballers in the world. But the Barca president believes Ronaldo is only the twelfth best player, behind his side's starting 11.
Speaking at a meeting at the Instituto de Quimica de Sarria, and quoted on Goal.com, Rosell said: "Cristiano Ronaldo is not the second-best player in the world. He's the world's number 12. The 11 best players all play for Barcelona."
Ronaldo is thought to be favourite to win this year's Ballon d'Or, and the Madrid star bagged two goals for Portugal against Holland this week at Euro 2012. The Portuguese forward is his country's key player, and played a crucial role as they escaped the 'Group of Death' at the expense of Bert van Marwijk's Netherlands.
But Rosell believes his side, which includes Xavi, Andres Iniesta, Cesc Fabregas and Lionel Messi among others, contains better individual players than Ronaldo. Barca have been the team to beat in recent seasons, but lost out this year to Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid in La Liga for the first time since 2008.
The Catalan club will also have do without Pep Guardiola next season, after their all-conquering coach decided to take a break from football. His assistant, Tito Vilanova, will take his place in the dugout, and attempt to wrestle back domestic control from Mourinho's Madrid.
