Tottenham to offer job to Andre Villas-Boas

Wayne Rooney said he believes England can reach the semi-finals or Euro 2012 after the Three Lions finished top of Group D last night.

Rooney said England are "feeling confident and difficult to beat", with Roy Hodgson's side set to face Italy in the quarter-finals on Sunday.

France will face Spain in the last eight, after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Sweden - with Laurent Blanc admitting his side must improve.

Elsewhere, Tottenham have offered Andre Villas-Boas the manager's job at White Hart Lane, according to reports in The Guardian today.
