Samir Nasri and Franck Ribery are doubts for France’s Euro 2012 quarter-final clash with Spain.

Nasri was ordered to sit out training yesterday to help with recovery from a knee problem he picked up in the loss to Sweden on Tuesday.

Ribery pulled up in the open session on Wednesday, clutching the left heel that was injured by a Didier Drogba tackle in the Champions League final.

Drogba’s foul gave away a penalty, which Arjen Robben subsequently missed, but the injury sustained by Ribery forced the winger from the field.

Nasri’s injury is not thought to be quite so serious and he played on for a time but was eventually removed by manager Laurent Blanc and replaced with Jeremy Menez.

While they are doubts, both men are expected to recover just in time to take on the reigning European champions on Saturday evening.

The match takes place at the Donbass Arena in Donetsk, Ukraine and kicks off at 1945 BST.
