Ryan Giggs says Manchester United are looking forward to touring China in pre-season next month, with the Welshman revealing he is relishing a chance to return to the far east once more.
United travel to China ahead of their clash on July 25 in the Chevrolet China Cup against Shanghai Shenhua, who are able to call upon the services of former Chelsea pair Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka.
Giggs scored a hat-trick on his last visit to China in 2009 and the Welshman paid homage United’s Asian followers, saying he is looking forward to greeting them next month.
“The players love coming to China because we know the fan base we have in the country. The fans are fanatical and it's a great chance to see them first hand," Giggs told ManUtd.com.
"They support us throughout the year and to see them at the games and at training as well will be great.
"Hopefully the Chevrolet China Cup will be a good match and the fans will come and support us and enjoy themselves," he added.
United will head to China on the back of a week in South Africa as the club begin their preparations for the upcoming Premier League season.
