Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao claims that Tottenham Hotspur have made an official bid for his services.
The Internacional hitman has been heavily linked with a move away from his homeland, with Spurs, Real Madrid and Juventus all reportedly tracking the 22-year-old over the last year.
Damiao has revealed that the only club to make a move is the one based in north London however, with former manager Harry Redknapp presumably at the helm when Tottenham failed to lure the player to White Hart Lane.
"I'm glad for the interest and for the enquiries, but the only official offer was made by Tottenham,” he told SportTV.
"If there are other offers, we'll talk, but for now I'm not worried."
With 9 caps to his name for the Selecao, Damiao has already broken onto the international stage for his country, although his solitary goal came in the 1-0 friendly win over Ghana at Craven Cottage back in September 2011.
Injuries have hampered his progress at the Beira-Rio however, and Damiao is confident that a run of games for club and country can help take his career to the next level – be it in Brazil or further afield in Europe.
"I need a sequence. I got injured and missed some games. I only returned recently, but I've been improving. I had a much better performance against Argentina."
