Megan Fox's position as one of the most desired women on the planet has been reaffirmed after GiveMeFootball research revealed the actress is the most lusted after person among football supporters.

The 26-year-old came to the public attention in 2007 after her performance as Mikaela Banes in the first instalment of Michael Bay's Transformers movies, and has since seen her star transcend the stratosphere.

Fox was voted by FHM readers as the 'Sexiest Woman in the World' in 2008 and, last year, was named as one of the '100 Hottest Women of All-Time', coming in at a very respectable 14th.

It comes as know great surprise, then, that the American's popularity stretches way beyond science-fiction aficionados and lads' mag lovers and into the fanbase of the world's most popular sport.

GMF's painstaking study has shown that 27 percent of football fans identify Fox as their favourite female celebrity, some six percent greater than her nearest rival Rihanna.

Coincidentally, the two have previously joined forces when Fox appeared in the music video 'Love the Way You Lie', which Rihanna performed with hip hop superstar Eminem.

Fox, meanwhile, was photographed this week displaying her growing baby bump alongside husband Brian Austin Green as they celebrated their second wedding anniversary in Hawaii.
