Vincente Del Bosque has hailed Spain's "great generation" after his side's historic European Championships triumph last night.

Spain are now the first team to have won three consecutive major international titles after beating Italy 4-0 in the Euro 2012 final.

La Roja produced a stunning performance, with goals from David Silva, Jordi Alba, Fernando Torres and Juan Mata sealing victory.

Del Bosque described the win as "an extraordinary achievement", with Spain now considered by many as one of the greatest sides of all time.
