QPR chairman Tony Fernandes believes the club have made a "great first step" in their search for a new stadium.
His comments came shortly after the club revealed a major announcement would be made next week that could help turn the club into a "global" brand. It has been suggested Monday's announcement will be about a move away from their Loftus Road home to a new stadium, although there are reports that QPR will unveil a South Korean player.
Press Association Sport understands the club are interested in Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-yueng, while bookmakers SkyBet have suspended betting on Manchester United's Park Ji-sung joining the Hoops.
