Keeping important players 'is key'

Swansea boss Michael Laudrup is determined to hang on to reported Liverpool target Joe Allen.

The midfielder is rumoured to be in the sights of Reds manager Brendan Rodgers despite an agreement not to raid his former club for a year. Laudrup was philosophical about the prospect of a bid for the 22-year-old Welshman, although he insisted at the moment it is just speculation.

The Dane told Swans Player: "It's a part of football. When people are doing well, and especially when it was Swansea's first season in the Premier League, it's normal some of the players were not that well known at the highest level and it's normal there's interest."
