Manchester City defender Micah Richards maintains he will feel no added pressure after being selected for Team GB ahead of David Beckham.

Head coach Stuart Pearce controversially omitted the former England captain from his squad, for which he was allowed three over-age picks, the others being Wales duo Craig Bellamy and Ryan Giggs, who will captain the team. Richards, however, insists that will not deflect his focus as the group prepares for the Friday's friendly with Games favourites at Brazil.

"No, I don't think there's any extra pressure because of that. You have to deal with pressure every time you play and, although this might be a little more special, I just want to go out and play my normal game," Richards said in the London Evening Standard.
