Chelsea have been dealt a double transfer blow in this summer’s transfer window, with striker Hulk and full-back Alvaro Pereira set to stay at FC Porto.

The pair have both been linked with moves to Stamford Bridge on a number of occasions, with the Brazilian hitman one of football’s most coveted stars.

In the capital for this summer’s Olympics, the 25-year-old was pictured with Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas earlier in the week, suggesting that competition could be strong for the player’s signature.

However, representative Teodoro Fonseca told Record that his client was expected to stay at the Estadio Dragao for the 2012/13 season, and that the Primeira Liga side are looking to build their team round the former Tokyo Verdy hitman.

"I've been talking frequently with Porto officials," said Fonseca.

"They and their manager count on Hulk and they told me that they want to build a team around Hulk that is capable of winning the Champions League."

Porto boss Vítor Pereira has also been handed a boost from the agent of Uruguayan defender and namesake Pereira, with Alejandro Savich insisting his client is committed to the club until they say otherwise.

Under former boss Villas-Boas, the Blues are thought to have made an offer for the player last summer, and retained interest in the talented 26-year-old.

"His contract is with Porto and he will stay there unless there is a proposal that is acceptable to the club," Savich is quoted as saying on SkySports.

"So far there is nothing at all."
