Liverpool offer deal to 'new Neymar'

Liverpool have made the early running in pursuit of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United target William McLaren by offering the Brazilian a contract.

The 15-year-old played himself into the shop window on website Pnera as part of an online project designed to promote young talents, and the Premier League's big guns have taken note.

"A representative of Liverpool saw me play, liked what he saw and the club sent me a contract," McLaren told Globo.

"But other teams are also interested - Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal. We'll see what happens."

McLaren, real name William Oliveira Souza, gained his moniker due to his speed across the ground, while he has already been likened to Brazil superstar Neymar.

It is certainly quite an assertion given McLaren's relative inexperience but, as the video above shows, he certainly an incredibly gifted young player.

Liverpool are reported to have attempted to coax the teenager to Anfield on a three-year deal, but whether or not he accepts the offer remains to be seen.
