Wenger reaffirms Van Persie stance

Arsene Wenger has reiterated his desire for Robin van Persie to remain at Arsenal despite the bidding war taking place over the Holland striker.

Manchester City, Manchester United and Juventus are hoping to sign last season's top scorer in the Barclays Premier League, whose contract expires next summer. But Wenger has remained defiant by declaring van Persie, who is valued around £20million, is staying in north London.

"There is nothing to elaborate. The options are clear - we want to keep our players," he told the club's official website
