Arsenal are set to make a another raid on the south coast by snapping up Southampton starlet Luke Shaw, according to the Daily Mirror.
Theo Walcott and more recently Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, have already been prised away from St Mary's to north London, and now the Gunners are hoping to secure the signature of the promising full-back.
Arsene Wenger was impressed with Shaw when he lined up against Arsenal in the recent Liebherr Cup competition, and after scouts came back with positive reports about the 17-year-old's pre-season performances, the Frenchman is planning to firm up the club's growing interest.
The latest talent off Saints' production line made his senior debut for Nigel Adkins' first-team in the FA Cup last season, and has also commanded strong interest from Chelsea, who made a £4million bid earlier this summer.
However, the newly-promoted Premier League side turned down the Blues' advances, with the England youth international set to play a prominent role in Southampton's first campaign back in the top-flight.
Shaw's latest appearance came in Saturday's 1-0 friendly defeat against Dutch champions Ajax - a game that the teenager looked confident on the ball, and particularly eye-catching going forward.
