Manchester City 3-2 Chelsea

Published Add your comment

Manchester City scored three goals in 12 minutes as they defeated Chelsea 3-2 in the FA Community Shield at Villa Park.

Spain striker Fernando Torres had given the Londoners the lead, but the game tunred after Branislav Ivanovic was shown red for a bad tackle on Aleksander Kolarov.

Yaya Toure, Carlos Tevez and Samir Nasri all scored in a blistering start to the second half and Ryan Bertrand's late goal could not spur Roberto di Matteo's side into a comeback.
