Pulis to give fringe players change

Stoke manager Tony Pulis is ready to ring the changes in Tuesday night's Capital One Cup game against Swindon.

The Potters boss is likely to rest some of the players who earned a point in Sunday's hard-fought Barclays Premier League draw against Arsenal. The Potters boss could bring in the likes of Wilson Palacios and Dean Whitehead, who is back from a one-game suspension to face Paolo Di Canio's side.

"It will be nice for one or two fringe players to play and prove they should be in the team," Pulis told the club's official website. "We'll see how we go but there'll be a few who want to be part of it."
