QPR manager Mark Hughes admits the return of Alejandro Faurlin and Kieron Dyer from long-term injuries has given the west Londoners a huge boost.

Argentinian midfielder Faurlin made his first Hoops appearance since January on Tuesday night, stepping up his recovering from a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in the 3-0 Capital One Cup victory over Walsall.

He was joined in midfield for the final 30 minutes by Dyer, who came off the bench to play in his first match since the opening day of last season - much to the delight of Rs boss Hughes. He said: "It was important we got the job done and I think we approached it in the right way."
