John Terry has been included in the England squad for their World Cup Qualifying double-header next week.

Manager Roy Hodgson named a 24-man Three Lions squad to face Moldova on Friday September 7, before welcoming Ukraine to Wembley on Tuesday September 11.

The Chelsea captain has been struggling with a back injury and missed the Blues victory over Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, but looks to have recovered in time.

Andy Carroll is given a recall, despite his future at Liverpool being highly uncertain and recent playing time being very limited.

Wayne Rooney’s injury means a place for young Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge, while his Blues team-mate Ryan Bertrand could make his first competitive international appearance.
