Fresh from his Chelsea hat-trick in Atletico Madrid's 4-1 victory in the European Super Cup on Friday night, Colombian striker Radamel Falcao admits he's ready for a January move to the Premier League, according to the Daily Mail.

The 26-year-old is widely regarded as one of the hottest properties to come out of South America, and lit up the Europa League with the Spanish outfit last season. Falcao has already spoken to his father, Radamel, and revealed that his preference is to play for Chelsea or Manchester City next year.

"There are three teams interested - Manchester City, Chelsea and a Russian team," confirmed Radamel senior. "Falcao has always wanted to play in the Premier League.

"Ever since he was a boy he has loved Chelsea and has always thought it would be an honour to play for a big Premier League team."

Reports in Falcao's homeland suggest that a pre-contract agreement has already been reached with the Blues, as Roberto Di Matteo looks to get his business done early ahead of the mid-season window.

"I don't want to talk about any pre-agreements," added his father. "I spoke to Falcao very briefly yesterday. The minimum release clause in his contract with Atletico Madrid is about 55million Euros, but Falcao doesn't want to talk figures."

When asked about the chances of his son playing in the Premier League by the time the next transfer window closes, his father confirmed: "Yes, it's very likely."
