Fernando Torres won his 100th international cap in Spain’s straightforward 5-0 win over Saudi Arabia at the weekend.

The Chelsea striker joins a select group of Spaniards to have reached such an historic milestone and could be joined by a couple more of his current team-mates soon.

Barcelona captain Carles Puyol is one away on 99 cap, while Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos is only seven away on 93.

Here are the great names Torres has joined in the Centurion club:

Andoni Zubizarreta, another Barcelona legend, was goalkeeper in six consecutive major international tournaments for Spain, amassing 126 caps. (©GettyImages)

Current captain and Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas overtook Zubizarreta in November of last year as the most capped player. Currently on 138, the 31-year-old looks set to play on for a few more years yet. (©GettyImages)
