Neymar managed to put recent troubles behind him on Monday evening, as the Santos star netted a hat-trick in the Brazil's 8-0 thrashing of China.

The 20-year-old was booed by Brazil's fans as he trudged off during the final minutes of the weekend defeat of South Africa in Sao Paulo and, after the game, urged supporters to cut him some slack.

But Neymar returned to free-flowing form against China in Recife, as Mario Menezes' made light work of their lesser opponents.

Chelsea's Ramires opened the scoring after 22 minutes, before Neymar netted his first four minutes later and Paris Saint-Germain's Lucas made the score 3-0 just after half-time.

Brazil were six goals ahead on the hour mark after Hulk added a fourth and Neymar completed his hat-trick with a quickfire double, while Liu Jianye then turned into his own net on 71 minutes.

Oscar, a summer acquisition for Chelsea from Internacional, completed the scoring from the penalty spot with 15 minutes remaining and, this time, Neymar & Co were afforded the full support of the crowd on the final whistle.
