Branislav Ivanovic says Chelsea face their biggest challenge of the season when they take on Arsenal this weekend.

Chelsea have started the new Premier League season quickly, with their win over Stoke on Saturday ensuring they remain unbeaten after five games.

New signings Eden Hazard and Oscar have impressed so far as boss Roberto di Matteo attempts to implement a quicker brand of football than previously seen at Stamford Bridge, however they come up against another of the league’s in-form teams in Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

The Gunners secured a point against champions Manchetser City on Sunday and have already picked up convincing wins against Liverpool and Southampton, with manager Arsene Wenger insisting they can challenge for the title this season.

Ivanovic says he has been impressed with what he has seen of Arsenal this season, and described Saturday’s fixture as the biggest test of Chelsea’s own title credentials to date.

"We have the next game as a very great challenge for us in the Premier League - Arsenal away," he said. "This is the first actual big game for us this season.

"Our performances and quality - we know how it is. But we have to show everyone, and we have to show it every game.

"This is the biggest challenge. I think Arsenal will be a great challenge for us, and we have to really be ready for that."
