Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has made a massive impression in his first season at Arsenal since joining in a £15million deal from Southampton in August 2011.

His handful of first-team appearances for Arsene Wenger's side last term proved enough to earn the young Gunner a place in Roy Hodgson's England squad for Euro 2012, and the winger has continued his impressive form with a string of positive performances this campaign.

After another summer of star names leaving the Emirates Stadium following the sales of Robin van Persie and Alex Song, Arsenal will be determined to secure Oxlade-Chamberlain's long-term future to north London.

The 19-year-old has made clear he is ready to commit, insisting he is not entertaining any thoughts of joining the player exodus, and has set his sights on establishing himself as a regular in the starting XI.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has already drawn comparisons with a number of other Arsenal players - both past and present - with the talented teenager taking inspiration from Theo Walcott and the great Thierry Henry.
