After it was revealed yesterday that Nemanja Vidic will be out of action for eight weeks following knee surgery, Manchester United have suffered another injury setback after Antonio Valencia was pictured leaving the club's Carrington training ground on crutches.

Chelsea are asking police to investigate the theft of six wallets, nine mobile phones and several watches from their training ground.

The crime, which took place earlier this month, was discovered when the players returned to the changing room after training at their Cobham base in Surrey. (Daily Mail)

Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal have all been put on alert after Russia captain and midfielder Igor Denisov was relegated to Zenit St Petersburg's youth team for criticising the signings of Hulk and Axel Witsel. (talkSPORT)

And finally, Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos will not be joining Manchester City any time soon after he settled his row with manager Jose Mourinho. (talkSPORT)
