Norwich manager Chris Hughton was counting the cost of his side's Capital One Cup victory with the news that Harry Kane could be sidelined for six weeks.
The 19-year-old striker, on loan from Tottenham, damaged his ankle in Wednesday night's 1-0 win against Doncaster. Kane is also understood to have broken a metatarsal although the full extent of the injury was still being assessed on Thursday afternoon.
Hughton, however, is resigned to losing him for a lengthy period, and he said: "It was so innocuous because there was no contact. It is a shame. We know he went over on his ankle. He is being assessed. He will certainly be out for a period of weeks, a month-plus rather than short of that. It is disappointing for us."
