Chelsea transfer news: Bryan Cristante linked with £1million move from AC Milan
Chelsea are being linked with a £1million move for AC Milan starlet Bryan Cristante.
The 17-year-old made his Champions League debut for the Italian giants against Viktoria Plzen, but has dropped back down to youth team level after that solitary taste of senior football.
It’s led to speculation that the talented teenager could be available for transfer in the summer, according to Metro, with Juventus and Roma also said to be keen on the midfielder.
Chelsea are aware of the player’s ability through technical director Michael Emenalo, and it’s claimed that academy manager Neil Bath has also been informed that the player could be on the market.
It’s unlikely that Cristante would immediately jump into manager Roberto Di Matteo’s plans at Stamford Bridge, although the purchase would be another sign of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich building for the future.
The Blues have added a number of talented youngsters since Andre Villas-Boas initially took charge, and the policy has continued following Di Matteo’s appointment as his replacement at Chelsea.
Cristante could be the next young star at the club, following in the footsteps of the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne.
