Stoke striker Peter Crouch is not thinking about an England recall despite his good start to the season.
The 31-year-old, whose two goals in the weekend win over Swansea took his tally to five in as many matches, has not played for the national team since November 2010. Roy Hodgson is set to announce his squad for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Poland later this week.
And while Crouch would love to have the chance to add to his record of 22 goals in 42 international appearances, he admits he cannot allow himself to be distracted. "Playing for my country is the best thing I have ever done but at the moment I just have to keep my head down and play well," he said.
