Italian giants scout City striker

Juventus scouts reportedly watched Manchester City forward Edin Dzeko during the Premier League champions' Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund.

According to reports in Italy, quoted on talkSPORT, Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici was in the stands at the Etihad Stadium to run the rule over the Bosnian striker.

Dzeko completed 90 minutes for Roberto Mancini's side, as Mario Balotelli came off the bench to rescue a crucial point for Manchester City.

German champions Dortmund dominated the match, and only a magnificent performance from England number one Joe Hart kept the Citizens in the match.

Dzeko was linked with a summer move to the Serie A winners, but Manchester City insisted he had a future with the club, and he stayed in England.

The former-Wolfsburg hitman has found himself on the bench more often than he would like, as Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero moved above him in the pecking order.

Juventus have been on the look out for a new striker for the past few months, but the transfer window shut with the acquisition of Arsenal forward Nicklas Bentder on loan.

The Italian giants are now thought to be planning the January transfer window priorities, and they may look to lure Dzeko to Italy by promising the forward first-team football.
