Chelsea and Liverpool striker target Klaas Jan-Huntelaar has not agreed a deal with Juventus, according to the player’s agent.
Representative Arnold Oosterveer was forced to speak on the rumours after speculation in Italy claimed the Dutchman was set to make a big-money move to Serie ‘A’ when the transfer window re-opens in January.
"As far as I know the rumours are to be catalogued as rumours and have to stop. There has been nothing concrete from anyone,” he told calciomercato.it.
"As yet, we have not decided whether to renew with Schalke, but we have not talked to any other clubs either."
Huntelaar has been on the Premier League radar for a couple of years now, with the most recent reports claiming Chelsea were planning a cut-price bid for the player in 2013.
Roberto Di Matteo has been linked with a number of forwards, with Fernando Torres and Daniel Sturridge the only senior players in the position on the books at Stamford Bridge.
Brazilian international Hulk has also been linked with a move to west London, and the Chelsea boss will need to decide where Roman Abramovich’s money might be spent in January.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was linked with a move for the player last month, and the Reds are another club to lack depth in the striking position.
Luis Suarez holds the key on Merseyside, with Fabio Borini now playing in a wide position and Dani Pacheco yet to make a major mark on the senior side.
And, with the financial backing of Liverpool owners FSG, 29-year-old Huntelaar could well be on the club’s radar.
