Wilshere's return sparks Iniesta-Xavi comparisons

Ex-England international Jamie Redknapp believes Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla can be the Premier League's very own Andres Iniesta and Xavi double act.

Writing in his Daily Mail column, Redknapp says he can't wait to watch Wilshere and Cazorla in the same team.

Wilshere made his Arsenal comeback in an under-21's match last week after 14 months out injured. The England midfielder did not play against West Ham, and Arsene Wenger revealed he would not rush him back to first-team action.

Spain star Cazorla was superb against the Hammers this weekend, and scored a brilliant 25-yard goal as Arsenal beat West Ham 3-1 at Upton Park.

But Redknapp can't wait to watch Wilshere and Cazorla link up when the Englishman returns to the Gunners lineup.

"As an ex-midfielder, I'm licking my lips at Wilshere and Cazorla in the same team," wrote Redknapp.

"They could be the Premier League's Xavi and Iniesta."

Cazorla, a summer signing from Malaga, has settled quickly into life at Arsenal, and the creative playmaker was pulling the strings on Saturday as Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott helped fire the Gunners to another Premier League win.

The Spain international played alongside Xavi and Iniesta as Vincente Del Bosque's side won this summer's Euro 2012 tournament, although Cazorla was restricted to a substitutes role.
