Manchester United and Arsenal target Axel N'Gando has signed a new contract at Ligue 1 side Rennes, silencing speculation linking the youngster with a move to the Premier League.
The 19-year-old midfielder put pen to paper on a four-year deal, that will keep him in France until 2016.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a huge admirer of the talented teenager, and is keen to bring him to the Emirates Stadium. However, Sir Alex Ferguson has also been monitoring N'Gando's progress with a view to one day enticing him to Old Trafford.
After signing his first professional contract in April, the Cameroon-born starlet has been handed a new long-term deal, in a bid to stave off interest from a host of top European clubs.
Despite reported interest from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United, N'Gando says that he is not thinking about a foreign switch at this point in his career, but has not ruled out a move overseas at some point in the future.
"I am delighted to sign for Rennes," he told Sky Sports. "This club has done everything for me and I am happy to continue to learn my trade here.
"I am not ready to go abroad. Maybe one day, but at the moment I am not thinking about it."
