Manchester United are ready to launch a raid for Blackpool starlet Tom Ince, according to Sky Sports.
The Red Devils have been keeping tabs on Ince for some time, and could be ready to make a move for the talented youngster in January.
His lightning-quick pace and fleet-footed style has garnered comparisons to both Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, with Blackpool boss Ian Holloway insisting he has the potential to be better than the Arsenal pair.
“I don’t think the other two flying wingers [Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott] are any better than him,” Holloway said last week.
“It is because they play for Arsenal. Incey has been creating and scoring. In other words, if Arsene Wenger bought him, he’d be good enough to start for England.
'I can't keep anybody. I am working with them to get them to a Manchester United or Arsenal.
“That's what I want to do for these boys. I have got to keep turning them out and that's how it is. If we are not successful this year, do I want to stand in his way? Probably not. But we deserve a fair amount of money for him."
The 20-year old, son of former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince, is out of contract in the summer, with Sir Alex Ferguson casting an eye over the former Liverpool-trainee last weekend ahead of a potential January swoop.
Unfortunately for the Manchester United manager he was forced to wait until the 52nd minute to see Ince after Holloway opted to start him on the bench in Blackpool’s 2-0 defeat against Charlton.
The England Under-21 star has been in fine form so far this season, and has scored six goals in eight league games so far for the Seasiders.
Manchester United have been linked with a move for Ince fore some time now, and although Holloway is keen of keeping hold of the talented youngster, any serious bid from the Old Trafford will likely see him swap Blackpool for Manchester.
Blackpool reportedly value Ince at around £6 million, although Sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United are unlikely to go that high for a player nearing the end of his contract.
