The agent of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar insists he has not had any contact with Chelsea over a potential move from Schalke – although he did admit to holding discussions with 'other clubs’.
Huntelaar marked himself out as one of the most clinical strikers in Europe last season, bagging 29 goals in 32 league games for Schalke; form he could not replicate for Holland at Euro 2012.
Chelsea have been linked with numerous striker targets ever since Didier Drogba left Stamford Bridge over the summer, a gap they failed to fill before the transfer window snapped shut.
Hulk, Edinson Cavani, Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy have all been linked with a move to Chelsea in recent weeks, while there were rumours linking Huntelaar with a move to Chelsea last weekend.
Now though the 28-year-old’s agent has moved to dismiss rumours linking his client with a move to Stamford Bridge, although he did admit that he'd held talks with 'other clubs' over a potential transfer.
"This hearsay (about Chelsea) must stop. Klaas has not yet decided whether to renew with Schalke but we talked to other clubs. So far there is nothing concrete, "said Oosterveer.
So far Chelsea’s need for a striker has been hidden somewhat by the form of Fernando Torres, who has scored six goals in 12 games this term.
Chelsea go into the international break at the top of the Premier League, with six wins from seven games, putting them four points clear of nearest rivals Manchester United.
