Chelsea midfielder Conor Clifford has become the latest man to be drafted into the Republic of Ireland squad ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against Germany and the Faroe Islands.

The 21-year-old, who had a loan spell at Portsmouth earlier this season, has been called up amid a growing injury crisis for the Irish.

He will arrive in time to meet up with the rest of the squad ahead of Wednesday morning's training session in Malahide.
